Wee Havens Covid Policy
Wee Havens follows the policies suggested by the CDC and New York State. Our current policies are as follows:
- All students showing symptoms of Covid are asked to be kept home for 72 hours or provide a negative Covid test.
- Covid symptoms include: fever and chills, cough, shortness of breathe, fatigue, body aches, headaches, sore throat, nausea, and diarrhea.
- Masks are required for anyone who enters our building until further directed by the CDC. We understand that it is difficult for our students to keep their masks on all day and the staff is doing our best to keep everyone safe. We are using sneeze guards in between each student and are spraying everything down on a regular basis to ensure added safety. There is also a professional service that comes in on Wednesdays to disinfect the entire building. We encourage parents to talk with your child about the importance of keeping their masks on throughout the day. There will be mask breaks for all students throughout the day.
- In the event that there is a positive case in our school, the students in the same pod as that child will be notified, and a negative test will need to be provided for each student to return to school. If there are multiple cases and the school needs to close, there will be packets provided to each family, and virtual classes will be held at specific times during the week. Each virtual meeting will be 30 minutes long with a short break in between.
