Curriculum

Gross motor skills will be developed through the use of blocks, songs, body movements, balance beam and other physical exercise that will be introduced.  Fine motor skills are developed through the use of puzzles, coloring, cutting, finger painting and dressing themselves, which establishes skills such as buttoning, snapping and zipping.

Three year olds are introduced to basic skills. Four year olds continue to build on their basic skills, along with reading, sight words and phonics.

The children will be introduced to different shapes and numbers and are reinforced throughout the year.

Self-awareness will be introduced in the beginning of the year.  Each child will learn about himself and those around him.  Sharing and cooperating with each other will be stressed, along with being polite and using manners.  The five senses will be explored through activities that allow the children to use their senses.  The art activities allow children to explore new materials and will require the use of listening and following directions skills.  The directions will be very simple.  The children will also be introduced to finger painting, play-dough, cutting, pasting, coloring, etc
